Is that the Expo line in your backyard?

Hello 10631 BRADBURY RD , LOS ANGELES 90064

Your newly reduced price of $1,599,000 is truly impressive considering that your lot size is the minimal Cheviot Hills/Rancho Park 6,600 sq ft.

Your close cousin on Dunleer Place (with a bigger lot) is now listed at $995,000 and still not moving, so perhaps the value is a touch inflated.

Really, how much is it worth to you to have commuter train hurling through your back yard on its way to Santa Monica and back?

Is Expo Line a commuter train? I don't think so. There is a world of difference between a commuter train and light rail. I understand that this your blog and not everyone wishes to have a train (light or otherwise) running through their back yard, but facts are facts.

I really don't care if it is the Union Pacific cross-country freight- it still doesn't belong going throught the back yard of a million dollar property every 30 minutes from 6AM to midnight

And that's ok. But why misinform and exaggerate, just to highlight something? Please don't make that your style.

Commuter train, light rail, electric cars... whatever- I believe the existing right of way should be used, I believe that it is needed, but I don't believe a home worth a $1,000,000 has one going through the back yard unless it is a 1/32 scale model with live steam.

Point is that trains in the backyard make the house worth less than identical overpriced house one block over.
That's an interesting quandry, considering the fact that other lines increased nearby property values. Anyway, you're lucky you didn't get an L Train running through there.
